About the Parlor

The Painted Parlor began the way most lovely things do — quietly, in a sunlit corner, with a stack of old paintbrushes and an unreasonable amount of optimism. Founded by Chris of BlondeChris GlassArts, the parlor is part studio, part salon, part very fancy living room.

After years of creating commissioned glass pieces and teaching small classes out of her home, Chris dreamed of a permanent place where guests could leave their phones at the door, sit with a cup of something warm, and remember that making things by hand is one of life's softest joys.

Today, you'll find her at MSC — Main Street Collective — surrounded by stained glass, fresh peonies, and the occasional candle. Every workshop is small, unhurried, and a little bit magical.
